i'm in seville!

hey all, i'm here safe and sound. my flights were all really good and i didn't have much trouble at all. i got to meet my roommate in madrid and had someone to wait with. i was so excited to see her! we have moved into our apartment which is beautiful! our little street is very picturesque. we live with two other girls, erica and elissa, who are wonderful. we live right next to a bull ring and right along the river. we live in what is called the center, which basically means it's where all the good places to go are haha. we live about 15 minutes from campus so it's not too far to walk.

the city is gorgeous, i'm going to put up pictures soon. everything is colorful and tiled and artsy. i love it. we got to see a flamenco dancer and join in the night life here. spaniards are crazy night time people, the streets are filled until like 1 am lots of nights. and we rented a paddle boat yesterday for an hour on the river. it was fun! the food is great and i really love everything about the city. we've met a bunch of really great people and are enjoying the relationships we've made so far. we are the only Christians so far that we know. we haven't met any others, but we got to have a really good talk with one of our apartment mates who is jewish. please pray for us in that, it's a different world being the only christians. a friend from home knows a girl who is here studying abroad through a different program who is a believer, so i'm going to try to meet up with her this week. it will be great to have another believer here with steph and i!

we went on a picture scavenger hunt yesterday. we got to visit the jewish quarter and the catedral which is the famous cathedral. everything is so beautiful i can't even describe it. i will be puting pictures up ASAP so you can see what i see. God is so creative.

i love you all and i miss you and i appreciate your prayers! ash
